Friday Night Double Date

It has only been a couple of weeks since Morgan went back to school for her second semester, but when we both looked at our upcoming schedules and the busyness of February,  she wasn't really sure when she would be able to come all the way home until her spring break in March.  Neither of us really wanted to  wait that long before seeing each other again so I asked if she wanted Noel and I to come up her direction and maybe meet her and Ian for a double date.  She agreed to that idea and Noel and I immediately put the "date" on our calendar.  Then, just days before we were suppose to meet, they called to invite Nolan and Melayna to come along and join us.  (Unfortunately, Laynie got sick and ended up having to stay home, which she wasn't happy about).

+++

The five of us were able to meet for dinner at 800 Degrees Pizza around 6:00 and we all ordered our individual fire grilled pizzas and those all turned out really good.  Since a couple of us had a little trouble deciding what we wanted, we agreed to just order five different things and then we could all share if we wanted to try something else.  The pizza was great and we all definitely left there full.  Then we drove about a mile south to Crazy Pinz where we met back up again and had just enough time to play 18 holes of mini golf indoors before the two of them had to head back to campus.

It was really loud and really busy inside the arcade area and we could hardly hear each other talk, but thankfully things quieted down quite a bit back in the mini golf area and we were able to take our time and just enjoy our time together.

Why doesn't Nolan cooperate when he gets his picture taken?  LOL

As we got about half way through the course, all of our scores were pretty close together and we were going back and forth as to who was leading.  Then with about five holes to go, we were playing and we saw the Crazy Pinz mascot coming towards us.  Morgan immediately started to hide behind me because she said "those things creep her out" and we were laughing at her as the mascot looked like he was going right towards her.  All of a sudden I turned around he was right there staring me in the face.  Of course I screamed like a little girl and then everyone was laughing at me.  I think the poor guy must have felt badly about frightening an old woman, because he took my golf ball and dropped it into the hole for a "hole in one".

After that "scare", my heart was able to settle back down and we finished out the course.

Apparently that hole in one was all that I needed because when the scores were all tallied, I won...and beat Noel by just one point.  Maybe it was worth the little scare after all!!

Thank you to Ian and Morgan for a great double date.  'Looking forward to getting to do that again soon.
