Random Updates Thru March

 This last week was spring break for our two college girls, although as I have previously mentioned, Marissa wasn't able to come home at all over her spring break as she would stay and compete in the NAIA National Championships.

On Friday the 27th, Noel and Melayna would leave right after school and they would go to Gainbridge Fieldhouse where they watched Elevation Rhythm in concert.  They both had a really good time.

On Sunday, Morgan left to meet three of her friends for a bridal shower and bachelorette party down in Brown County / Nashville area.  She would return home from that on Tuesday night.

Then on Wednesday morning, we went over to pick up the dress that we had fitted for that same wedding. It started off as a floor-length dress, but at the request of the bride, Morgan had it altered so that it would be shorter.  It turned out really good and many thanks to our friend Jan for doing that work!

Morgan spent the rest of the week working on a paper and her capstone project and getting things ready for summer.  She also spent quite a bit of time with Nolan, either playing  Mario or other games, or just being entertained by his silly antics.  On her last day home, she took him to Dunkin before church, which I know that he really enjoyed.  Once again, I am struck by how close all of the kids are and how much they love and support each other.  I never take that for granted and it always blesses my heart.

"Wait, aren't those Morgan's glasses?"

On Thursday night, Nolan and I went up to watch Marissa swim in her 200 relay...

Noel and Morgan went to see Brandon Lake in concert at the Fort Wayne Coliseum.  Morgan said that it was a really really good concert but I think she mostly enjoyed eating at IHOP at midnight after the concert was over.  LOL

Melayna had a track meet on Friday and then she spent the rest of the weekend working.

And Nolan is becoming more and  more confidant riding his bike to the park and back all by himself.  (It's only six miles round trip, but he has to ride on a pretty busy road until he gets to the trailhead of the greenway.  Then he can the rest of the way to the park).  On Saturday, Morgan and I left to go walk the trails and we were on our way back when we saw Nolan riding the trails on his way to the park.  He looked so proud of himself!

We would drive by the park on our way home and we saw him playing with some new "friends" at the park.  He would go back again on Sunday afternoon as well.  I think it's his new favorite pastime.  LOL

+++

Noel and Nolan worked on a new Purdue Boilermaker puzzle this past week.  Nolan was excited to put in the last final pieces.

+++

And we finished out the week at a church dinner.  I just wanted to take a couple of pictures of Nolan as he helped supervise all of the younger children as their parents finished eating.  He was so gentle and protective of the really little ones and Noel and I both commented on how proud we were of him for looking out for them.
