On Saturday the 28th, I was asked to take pictures at the high school JROTC. This was the fifth year that I have been asked to do the pictures, but I was certainly surprised when I was called forward and given an award of recognition from the Major and a couple of the students.

On Tuesday morning, Nolan was recognized for being on the high honor roll for the 3rd quarter in a row. Noel and I were both able to go to that recognition breakfast and Nolan was excited to see us there.

It has really rained a LOT and we've had two tornado warnings in our county in the past two weeks. The water is the highest that it's been in years and I really noticed it this week on my most recent walk.

And just hours after posting those pictures above, another round of bad storms came through and I found more water and more damage on my walk this morning.
Here is the creek that I normally pass over. It's just below the bridge and I've never seen it that high in all the years that I've been walking.
And there were quite a few trees down in the woods and pieces of smaller limbs and branches down all over greenway...
...and right behind the Grace College track, this tree had just fallen and broke the fence. Oops! It had obviously just happened overnight because maintenance hadn't even come by to cut it up yet and I had to climb up over it to continue walking.
Thankfully, despite having three rounds of storms in the past two weeks, our property and home haven't sustained any major damage and so I praise the Lord for his protective hand over us.

Spring is coming. And I am ready.
