Agaitas Night of Praise

In March of 2025, Melayna went down to a UniteUS event at Purdue University with several members of her school's Fellowship of Christian Students group.  They had such an amazing time of worship together at that event that they decided that they wanted to host their own night of praise in their own high school.  The group put together a small praise night at the end of the 2025 school year and due to the positive response, they committed to working hard once again this year to put together an even bigger and better event for the second year.  They were blessed to partner with Agaitas, a Christian Sports ministry that is also based in our town and all of the groups' hard work finally came to fruition on Sunday, May 3rd and the event was held at Warsaw's Performing Arts Center.  There were three great guest speakers and a lot of powerful worship music.  I wasn't sure that I was going to be able to attend the event because we didn't know what time we would get home from the marathon, but I am so happy that I was able to make it.

My heart was certainly blessed.

As the evening was coming to a close, I was even more surprised (and blessed again), when Melayna came out on stage and prayed over the crowd to end the evening.  It wasn't planned ahead of time so I wasn't expecting it to happen -- she said that one of the speakers asked if anyone would like to close out the night in prayer and when no one else volunteered, she felt like the Holy Spirit was telling her to do it.  So she put her own nervousness aside and stepped out in obedience to the Spirit and He definitely spoke truth through her.  It was a very powerful moment to end to the night.  I'm glad that I was there to be part of that.  God is certainly moving in this next generation, let me tell you!!

This is a picture that was posted to social media after the event was over.  What an amazing group of kids pictured here.  May they chase after Jesus and go out to make disciples for Him in the years to come.
